Four Things

Four things I saw, four things I love

A godly mother who leads the way to God

Oh, how lucky a child is to be mothered by you

God’s precepts taught from infancy

Holiness a legacy to leave

Four things I saw, four things I love

A kind heart so big it accommodates all

Oh, what blessing to be associated with you

Always ready to help all in need

Revealing true humility by showing the gentleness of Christ

Four things I saw, four things I love

A hard working mother who never goes idle

Oh, what lesson to learn about life

How hard work propels to greatness

Coming from a great woman whose life is a lesson

Four things I saw, four things I love

A woman I can call a mother

Oh, what grace to have her

Someone that holds same values as the one who gave birth to me

On your birthday I scream “I’m blessed to have known you!”

Happy birthday Ma!

Happy Birthday to Our Sunshine

Mummy

You are like a walking sunshine,
Illuminating our paths wherever we go;
You are like a full moon,
Sucking up the darkness so we all could see;
Your life has been a life of service to us.

We angered you so many times you lost count,
Yet in love you chastise us;
Teaching us always to look to the cross;
God’s way the only way you know.

We should celebrate you everyday
But this day is a special one;
A year added as you journey,
Looking forward to the day you’ll never have to work;
‘Cos Mum it’ll be our turn
To give back everything you’ve given.

Happy Birthday sweet mother,
It feels great that you call me son;
A good one forever I’ll be to you.

Do I have to wound my mortal soul

For the love that I thought I knew,

Appears there is always a layer to be unraveled

When one thinks a heart has been totally won over,

Trusts and smiles built over the decades,

Bashed due to actions and inaction,

Capabilities of external bodies is a weakness of the subjects involved,

How deeply can one hurt over trivial things?

As termed by people viewing the scenario,

But so mountainous to the ones involved,

When very tall mountains literally appears

And can not be scaled,

Many things ride on passion and emotion,

I believe love does too,

What would I rather invest my energy

on work?

Or love?

I’ve been like a castle in the air,
Heavily laden with despair
While you live in vanity fair;
You’ve been walking on air,
While for me everything is a flying mare.

Why is your ministry misery?
Everything I give is green,
Yet it all ends up gloomy
Why are you so mean?
Will I ever hear the sounds of victory?

Put me out of misery!
Save me from despair
Make me free from despondency
Shield me from the fowler’s snare
All I’ve lost is not beyond repair

I’m six seasons past gold
But I’m still left in the cold
Sadly you are all of a mould
Do your part to make me grow
Now you have a chance, you know
That’s the birthday gift I want from you.

Who deserves an eulogy than a gem
Lowly but adorned with a diadem
Hugging peasants despite her royalty
Making hay with them on the lea

The gift I give you should be blue
A nice long gown that is sapphire blue
Why? Because your blood is blue
Don’t be scared that’s what they say
Blue blood means noble birth they claim

Happy birthday to you my love
Unequalled was the joy you brought
When mum held you first in her arms
Same is the joy in my heart you cram
I have your love my life is calm

Birthday Wish For The Queen

It’d be crazy for anyone in this world full of strife
Not to hold on to the one who makes you smile
Give her a hug the size of a bear
And tell her in love how much you care

For your sake we bake the cake
So they say to boost their sale
I may not be close to give a cake
But with the faith of a sage I pray
That your day be full of cakes

I look up this day with faith
And hope God grants my case
Make you darling my fate
Cos in you I’ve found a mate
That’ll give me joy till heaven’s gate

I’ll raise a thousand to sing and form a band
Ten thousand soldiers only you to guard
As you sit on your royal stool
And watch your subjects pay their dues
I think of ways to steal you away from all the prying eyes

Your subjects will have to bear with me
Cos next birthday they’ll miss the meal
As we’ll be away in our world
You and I alone that’s what I’d love

We’ll celebrate your day in grand style
Stable full of horses for my queen to ride
Closet full of dresses she could wear with pride
As I hope someday to make her my bride

I’ve got gift of the gab to plead my case
But with her it’s a different tale
I need the strength of a knight to please the queen
Fight with lances battles I have to win
Worthy her heart to own and be her king

Her love sends me into spasmodic trance
But today is a day to stay awake and grab the chance
To wish her a life full of bliss
As she celebrates another year in peace

Happy Birthday my Queen
Heard running from the truth is a battle no one wins
Guess I have to tell you again
That I love you with all my being
